If you had to choose one

so, we're deciding our floor plan and we have a very awkward space that we do not know what to do with.  some of our options are: a large master bathroom; a large laundry room/closet; a sitting room with a desk and tv.

what would you choose?

I am attaching a couple pictures so if anyone has any other ideas for a good use of the space, let me know!!

i should probably explain the space a bit more. right now, it was the kitchen for the second floor. so, the back door is right there and on the opposite wall is the electrical wiring so we can't put a bathtub or anything near there. (i wanted to put a bathtub under the window, but we can't :( as you can see, it leads to the only bathroom for the house which is small. Don wants to keep it separate, ie. if we put a vanity in the open space, he wants to keep the tub in the small bathroom (which I do not want to do). ideally, i would take down that wall and enlarge the bathroom.

If it worked I'd probably use the space for a larger master bathroom and nice walk in closet. :)

When you say kitchen for the 2nd floor? How many floors is this? What else is on this floor?

I voted laundry room because our washer and dryer are in a closet in the eat-in part of our kitchen. I wish we had a laundry room.

But if you really want to make it a larger master bathroom, then you should do that instead.

The house has two floors.  All of the bedrooms are up here (three) and a hallway that leads to this room which has a door to the back porch) and small bathroom.

Thanks Robin!  I am definitely thinking laundry room since I really want one in this house.

Hmm. I agree on the laundry room, but is this the one main bath for the house? If so, I would go for a bathroom. Ivy will be needing it one day ;)

You can do laundry room/ larger bathroom?

Thanks everyone!!

I FINALLY talked him into taking down the wall that separates the two areas and we will just move it farther (almost to the door) expanding the bathroom. Then, the smaller portion can be a sitting room off the master bedroom (the master bedroom is right there and has a closet that we can open up).

we are going to put the laundry room on the main floor and eventually ivy will get her own bathroom next to her bedroom.

:)
